RESOLUTION NO. 2024-042
A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE RESULTS OF THE
NOVEMBER 5, 2024 CONSOLIDATED ELECTION
FOR THE CENTRAL CONTRA COSTA SANITARY DISTRICT
WHEREAS, a consolidated election was held in the Central Contra Costa Sanitary
District (Central San) on Tuesday, November 5, 2025 for the election of one Board
Member; and
WHEREAS, the election was conducted by the Contra Costa County Elections
Department in the manner required by the provisions of the California Election Code
and the California Health and Safety Code; and
WHEREAS, the County Clerk of Contra Costa County has duly canvassed the votes
and has verified the results of the votes cast, which certification is now on file in the
Office of the Secretary of the District.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Directors of Central San that
the canvass of the votes by the County Clerk is hereby accepted and votes cast for the
candidates as follows:

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED and determined as follows:
Section 1. The total number of ballots cast in the election that contained the race for
Central San's Division 5 candidate was 31,323. Voter turnout in Contra Costa County
was 76.67 percent. The total number of ballots cast in the Division 5 candidate election
was 26,136.
Section 2. The results of the votes cast in the election are attached to this resolution
as Exhibit A.
Section 3. The re-elected (unopposed) Board Members are Tad J. Pilecki (District 1),
Florence T. Wedington (District 3), and Barbara D. Hockett (District 4). The newly
elected Board Member is Jean Froelicher Kuznik (District 5). The Board Member
representing District 3 (Florence T. Wedington) is elected for a short term of two years;
all other Board Members are elected for a term of four years.

Section 4. The Secretary of the District shall administer the Oath of Office and
present the Certificate of Election to each duly elected official.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 5th day of December 2024, by the Board of Directors of
