Engage Employee Wellness
Program
The Engage Employee Wellness Program promotes employee health through a
variety of educational and fun activities throughout the year.
The Engage Wellness Committee is comprised of employees from every department
throughout the District.
Employees who participate in 10 onsite or online (Rally Wellness Portal) activities
qualify for special recognition throughout the year.
The program is voluntary and open to all District regular, benefitted employees.
Individual health files are maintained for each employee through John Muir
Health. These files are confidential and will not be released to the District without
written consent from the employee. Participant does not need to be a John Muir
Health patient to participate.
As of December 2023, John Muir Health no longer offers onsite wellness services. The
District is currently searching for a wellness program provider to begin in early 2025.

Employee Health: Glucose
• Increase in (moderate risk) total cholesterol numbers.
• % of participants with high LDL (bad cholesterol) and triglycerides
is down.
2021-2022*: COVID-19 and hybrid workforce/social distancing
contributed to lower participation numbers than previous years.
50 participants are needed for aggregate data reporting.
• Cholesterol is a waxy substance. It's not"bad":your body needs it
to build cells. But too much can be a problem.
• Cholesterol comes from two sources.Your body (specifically your
liver) makes all the cholesterol you need. The rest you get from
foods from animals. Cholesterol circulates in the blood, and as
blood cholesterol levels rise, so does the risk to your health. That's
why it's important to have your cholesterol tested so you can
know your levels.
