ISSUE
Board approval is required to amend the Secretary of the District's employment agreement.
BACKGROUND
The employment agreement between the District and Secretary of the District, Katherine Young, allows for
the Board to consider an adjustment to her salary or benefits in such amounts and to such extent as the
Board may determine is desirable. The Board has completed Ms. Young's performance evaluation and a
salary adjustment is warranted.
It is proposed that, effective July 26, 2024, Ms. Young's annual salary be increased a total of three and
three quarters percent (3.75%). This would increase her salary from $190,318 to $197,454 annually.
All other provisions of the employment contract, as amended, would remain unchanged. The proposed
amendment is provided as Attachment 1.
