RECOMMENDATION: Adopt the revised job classification descriptions for the Director of Plant Operations and the Director of Collection System Operations. FINANCIAL IMPACTS: None. ALTERNATIVES/CONSIDERATIONS: Do not adopt the changes, or modify as desired. BACKGROUND: The current department director positions at the Plant and Collection System Operations are vacant due to the retirements of the incumbents. Staff has reviewed the class descriptions for these positions and is proposing some modifications to make them consistent. The Human Resources Committee reviewed the proposed changes and recommends the descriptions as attached. The Management Group representatives have reviewed and approved the changes. Engineering principles, methods, and practices as applied to the operation of a wide variety of wastewater treatment processes.
