ISSUE: A resolution of the Board of Directors is required to execute quitclaim deeds
and record the documents.
RECOMMENDATION: Adopt a resolution authorizing the President of the Board of
Directors and the Secretary of the District to execute Quitclaim Deeds and authorizing
staff to record the deeds with the Contra Costa County Recorder.
FINANCIAL IMPACTS: None.
ALTERNATIVES /CONSIDERATIONS: None.
BACKGROUND: With the construction,
completion, and acceptance of the Hall
Drive Sewer Renovations Project, Phase
2B (District Project 5932), backyard
sewers on seven properties were replaced
by new sewers in the public street (Hall
Drive). The recommended Board action
would quitclaim existing District
easements to the property owners.
Additional quitclaim deeds will be
recommended at a later meeting for other
properties where backyard sewers were
relocated to new easements in front of the
homes. This future action will be part of
an easement exchange, where the District
quitclaims existing easements and
accepts new easements.

RECOMMENDED BOARD ACTION: Authorize the President of the Board of Directors
and the Secretary of the District to execute Quitclaim Deeds for sewer easements to
James Jordan and Christie Batterman- Jordan, Cynthia Martin - Field, Nathalie Musson,
Allen Gruen, James and Linda Landau, Dedrick and Linda Anderson, and Leonard and
Louella Snyder, property owners at 15 Queensbrook Place, 178 Hall Drive, 204 Hall
Drive, 214 Hall Drive, 218 Hall Drive, 234 Hall Drive, and 238 Hall Drive, respectively,
Orinda, and authorizing staff to record the documents with the Contra Costa County
Recorder
