ISSUE A previously established public hearing date needs to be rescheduled to allow
for additional staff preparation time.
RECOMMENDATION Cancel the October 7, 2010 public hearing to receive comments
on the District Annexation 168C — Alhambra Valley Final EIR.
FINANCIAL IMPACTS Not applicable.
ALTERNATIVES /CONSIDERATIONS Not applicable.
BACKGROUND On September 2, 2010, the Board of Directors set October 7, 2010
as the date for a public hearing to receive comments on the District Annexation 168C —
Alhambra Valley Final EIR. At the time, only a few comment letters on the Draft EIR
had been received and staff expected to be able to respond to them in a Final EIR in
time. for an October 7, 2010 public hearing. Subsequent to the establishment of the
public hearing date, CCCSD received several additional lengthy letters that will require
more time to respond to than the October 7 public hearing date will accommodate. A
new public hearing date will be proposed in the future.
RECOMMENDED BOARD ACTION Cancel the October 7, 2010 public hearing to
receive comments on the District Annexation 168C — Alhambra Valley Final EIR.
