Pursuant to the Public Employees’ P ension R eform A ct of 2013 (P E P R A ), the C ontra C osta C ounty
Employees’ Retirement A ssociation (C C C E R A ) requires the B oard to adopt a publicly available salary
schedule any time changes are made to the schedule.
B AC K G RO UND
Pursuant to P E P R A, C C C E R A requires that all participating employers maintain a salary schedule that
meets the criteria listed below:
1. Has been duly approved and adopted by the employer’s governing body in accordance with
applicable public meeting laws
2. I dentifies the position title for every employee position
3. Shows the pay rate for each identif ied position, which may be stated as a single amount or as
multiple amounts within a range
4. I ndicates the time base, including, but not limited to, whether the time base is hourly, daily, bi-weekly,
monthly, bi-monthly, or annually
5. I s posted at the office of the employer or immediately accessible and available f or public review
from the employer during normal business hours or posted on the employer’s internet website
6. I ndicates an ef f ective date and date of any revisions
7. I s retained by the employer and available f or public inspection f or not less than five years

8. D oes not reference another document in lieu of disclosing the pay rate
T he salary schedule has been updated to add the newly established Assistant Real Property A gent
classification.
