GM Announcements 04-25-24 April 25, 2024 Special Board Meeting Agenda Packet- Page 98 of 110 Page 2 of 4 Attachment 1 Board Meeting of April 25, 2024 General Manager Written Announcements OUT-OF-STATE CONFERENCE ATTENDANCE 1) GIS Analyst Mike Matthews to attend Cityworks Innovate Conference in Cleveland, Ohio from May 14 - 16, 2024 Asset Management workgroup, Geographic Information System (GIS) Analyst, Mike Matthews, will be attending the Cityworks Innovate Conference in Cleveland, Ohio from May 14-16, 2024. Central San uses Cityworks, a GIS-centric software, for its Computerized Maintenance Management System, to manage service requests, work orders, inspections, and maintenance programs. The conference provides insights into updated technology in GIS and Asset Management. Mr. Matthews will take a training course on the administrative configuration of Cityworks new module, Respond, and other sessions to further our Asset Management journey. Mr. Matthews' attendance at this conference is included in the Fiscal Year 2023-24 Operations Optimization Division Conference and Training Budget. CONTRACTS & AGREEMENTS— QUARTERLY UPDATE 2) General Manager Authorized Contracts, Agreements, Etc. — First Quarter 2024 The Board delegated various authorities to the General Manager via Board Policy No. BP 037 — Delegation of Authority to General Manager, including the authority to enter into certain agreements and contracts on behalf of the District. Additionally, the Board requested an announcement when construction projects have been accepted, which occurs when the Notice of Completion is recorded with the County Recorder's Office. The Board also requested notification of certain legal claim settlements. Following is a recap of each of these items for the period January 1 through March 31, 2024: The summary includes: • Professional Agreements between$50,000—$200,000 • Professional Agreement Revisions that result in new total agreement between$50,000-$200,000 • Professional Agreement Revisions between$50,000-$200,000 • Small Construction/District Project Contracts between$50,000-$200,000 • Small Construction/District Project Contract Revisions that result in new total agreement between$50,000-$200,000 • Small Construction/District Project Contract Revisions between$50,000-$200,000 All other contracts that are not`professional services"or"District Projects"such as maintenance services, equipment, chemicals, and supplies, do not require Board approval regardless of dollar amount. The Board approves the annual budget which includes the expenses that come from these contracts, so these contracts are not included in this report as they have historically been within staff authority.
