General Manager Annoucements November 16, 2023 Regular Board Meeting Agenda Packet- Page 150 of 175 Page 2 of 3 Attachment 1 Board Meeting of November 16, 2023 General Manager Written Announcements COMMUNITY OUTREACH 1) Central San Runs Holiday Cooking Oil Recycling Public Service Announcement Campaign Central San will air a public service announcement video on the proper disposal of holiday cooking oil to the Household Hazardous Waste Collection Facility with different distributors, including Xfinity/AT&T/Wave, Contra Costa TV (CCTV), and Rossmoor TV. Between November 20 through December 4, 2023, on television, we will air 570 commercials on 32 different networks, reaching 56.4% of our customer audience at a rate of 1.9 times and creating over 130,000 video impressions through online streaming app/on-demand services. On CCTV the commercial will air at least 40 times, and at least 20 times on Rossmoor TV. CCTV and Rossmoor have our permission to air additional spots if they need to fill airtime. ENERGY CONSUMPTION 2) Third Quarter Update on Central San's Energy Usage Central San actively tracks greenhouse (GHG) emissions to optimize the use of energy at its facilities in the most cost-effective and environmentally responsible manner. The attached energy dashboard, labeled Attachment 2, contains a breakdown of Central San's energy usage for the month of September 2023 along with a comparison of the energy used during the third quarter of the calendar year. The chart shows the cost breakdown of Pacific Gas and Electric (PG&E) and Marin Clean Energy (MCE) electricity.
