BAILEY, GENERAL MANAGER SUBJECT: ADOPT RESOLUTION NOS. 2023-040 THROUGH 2023-044 RECOGNIZING 2023 EMPLOYEE SERVICE AWARD RECIPIENTS Central San recognizes employees for their service at each five-year interval of their employment. The attached proposed group resolution recognizes all employees eligible for service awards in 2023. Each service award recipient with 20 or more years with Central San will also receive an individual, personalized resolution. This year's recipients are: Mohammed Wali (35 years) Leo Gonzalez (20 years) Jose Plascencia (20 years) Salvador Rosales (20 years) These proposed resolutions are available for review at the District's office, 5019 Imhoff Place, Martinez, Monday through Friday: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Please contact Katie Young, Secretary of the District, with any questions at (925) 229-7203 or kyoung@centralsan.org. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Directors of Central San, that service awards are presented with appreciation to the following named employees: 35 years of service: Mohammad Wali 20 years of service: Leo Gonzalez, Jose Plascencia, and Salvador Rosales. 15 years of service: Jackeline Campos, Rita Cheng, Justin Covington, Jason Crowe, Christina Gee, Chris Hesse, Bonnie Keeton, Stephanie King, Nancy Parker, Michelle Tarantino, Justin Waples, Mark Wenslawski, and Casey Wheable. 10 years of service: David Bagar, Roger Bailey, Rigoberto Casarez, Imran Chaudhary, Jason DeGroot, Matthew Mahoney, James Ramirez, Nohemi Sanchez, and Kathrine Woolridge. 5 years of service: Dmitry Abramov, Gregory Arevalo, Ian Campbell, Ashley Freeman, Joseph Hattrup, Nathan Hill, Laci Kolc, Benjamin Lavender, John Mitchell, Daniel Napier, Geoffrey Niswander, Heather Ramamurthy, Joel Rogge, Ramona Seguerre, Anthony Smith, Joy Smith, Katherine Young, and Adam Zaro; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution is presented in unanimous recognition and acknowledgment of the continuing service and unwavering dedication of these outstanding employees. Bailey General Manager October 19, 2023 Regular Board Meeting Agenda Packet - Page 36 of 127 Page 4 of 7 RESOLUTION NO. 2023-041 Attachment 2 A RESOLUTION OF COMMENDATION TO LEO GONZALEZ, SUPERINTENDENT, OPERATIONS AND MAINTENANCE WHEREAS, the strength and success of Central Contra Costa Sanitary District (Central San) is its competent, caring, and outstanding employees; and WHEREAS, the vast degree of knowledge and the long-term dedication of seasoned employees is the core of that strength and the heart of every successful endeavor; and WHEREAS, these valuable employees have carried Central San to new heights as Central San has achieved local, state, and national recognition and awards for excellence in all areas of operations; and WHEREAS, it is a pleasure and privilege to pay tribute to those employees who have so ably served Central San for twenty years; and WHEREAS, LEO GONZALEZ, Superintendent, Operations and Maintenance, is to be commended for his devoted service to Central San; and WHEREAS, during the recent years of change and transition, the experience and contributions of this veteran employee have shaped Central San into a nationally acclaimed wastewater collection and treatment agency that is a steward of the environment, accountable to its customers, and fiscally responsible; and WHEREAS, Central San is truly fortunate to count this outstanding individual as a member of its team. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Directors of Central San that an employee service award is gratefully bestowed upon Leo Gonzalez, Superintendent, Operations and Maintenance; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution of Commendation is presented in unanimous recognition and acknowledgment of the continuing service and steadfast dedication of this long-term employee.
