SUBJECT: RECEIVE UPDATE OF NET ZERO GREENHOUSE GAS EMISSIONS
INITIATIVE CONSULTING SERVICES
Staff will be engaging the consulting firm GHD, Inc. (GHD) to assist Central San with its Net Zero
greenhouse gas emissions initiative. This work will be conducted under an existing contract with GHD that
was approved by the Board on June 2, 2022 for as -needed work related to air quality consulting services,
including greenhouse gas emission evaluations. The plan is to have GHD conduct a baseline of Central
San's greenhouse gas emissions, identify reduction opportunities and relative costs, and return to the
Board for a workshop later this year to discuss a potential Net Zero commitment by Central San.
