SUBJECT: HOLD DISCUSSION TO CONSIDER CONDUCTING IN-PERSON BOARD
MEETINGS IN THE BOARD MEETING ROOM
During the COVID-19 pandemic the Board meetings were moved into the Multi-Purpose Room for in-person
meetings as a safety measure. The Information Technology Department upgraded the sound system and
camera capabilities during this time for Board meetings.
The Board has conducted regular evaluations of current state and county declarations to consider and adopt
Assembly Bill 361 meeting provisions. One of the County Health Services recommendations is to have seating
arrangements to allow for social distancing. Moving the meetings into the Board Room may have some
challenges to meeting this stipulation.
Staff was informed that there is some desire to return to the Board Meeting Room instead of meeting in the
Multi-Purpose Room. This agenda item is to provide the opportunity for the Board to discuss this matter and
provide direction to staff as applicable.
Staff will be be available to answer any questions at the Board meeting regarding logistics.
