BAILEY, GENERAL MANAGER SUBJECT: DISCUSS JUNETEENTH HOLIDAYTO PROVIDE RECOMMENDATION TO THE BOARD At the June 16, 2022 Board meeting, the Board concurred that staff provide a future Board agenda item on the J uneteenth holiday for review, including direction for staff to conduct a survey of local agencies. At the July 21, 2022 Board meeting, staff presented information on the holiday as well as the findings of an interagency survey. The Board voted to request that the Administration Committee discuss this matter and provide a recommendation to the Board. The Board also requested that staff conduct a survey of the amount of holiday time observed by other agencies. Please see the attached presentation, which contains the requested information. Staff will be available at the Committee meeting to answer questions.
