ISSUE
A resolution of the Board of Directors (Board) is required to accept irrevocable offers of dedication for
sanitary sewer easements to Central San and to authorize recording of the resolution.
BACKGROUND
The Mill on Brown, LLC (Developer) constructed a new public sanitary sewer within a new sanitary sewer
easement (SSE) in Lafayette with Job 6709. The Developer offered the irrevocable offer of dedication
for the SSE to Central San from a subdivision map.
As Central San accepted the public sewer constructed with this job, staff recommends the Board accepts
the irrevocable offer of dedication.
ALTERNATIVES/CONSIDERATIONS
The Board could decline to accept the irrevocable offers of dedication. This alternative is not
recommended as Central San would not have recorded land rights that expressly states Central San has

formally accepted the irrevocable offers of dedication to reconstruct, maintain or operate the public
sanitary sewers that are owned by Central San.
FINANCIAL IMPACTS
None as the Developer paid the fees to process the right-of-way documents and to record this resolution.
COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION
The Real Estate, Environmental and Planning Committee reviewed this matter at its meeting on July 20,
2022 and recommended
RECOMMENDED BOARD ACTION
Adopt the proposed resolution accepting an irrevocable offer of dedication for a sanitary sewer easement
from The Mill on Brown, LLC related to Job 6709 in Lafayette and authorizing staff to record the resolution
with the Contra Costa County Recorder.
