ISSUE
The Board of Directors may consider adopting a proposed Ordinance to amend the District Code after a
noticed public hearing has occurred.
BACKGROUND
District Counsel and staff have identified various sections within the District Code which necessitate
amendment to enable more efficient management of District operations, to conform to external
requirements or internal processes, or to amend terminology in accordance with adopted policies.
The anticipated sections that will be brought forth for consideration at a public hearing as a codified
Ordinance include:

Title 2 -Administration
Title 4 - Personnel
Title 5 - Permits and Licenses
Title 7 - Real Property and Improvements
Title 9 - Sewers
Title 10 - Source Control (Pretreatment);and
Title 11 - Recycled Water
Legal notices will be published accordingly in the Contra Costa Times and San Ramon Valley
Times. The Notice of Public Hearing will also be posted on Central San's website.
ALTERNATIVES/CONSIDERATIONS
The Board may choose to set a public hearing for another date or time.
FINANCIAL IMPACTS
There is no material impact associated to setting a public hearing.
COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION
The setting of the hearing was not heard by a Board Committee. The Administration Committee will review
the proposed amendments at its May 3, 2022 meeting, prior to the public hearing.
RECOMMENDED BOARD ACTION
Set a public hearing for May 26, 2022 at 2:30 p.m. to receive comments on proposed updates to various
sections of the District Code and to consider adopting a codified Ordinance of the amendments.
