ISSUE
A resolution of the Board of Directors (Board) is required to accept a Grant of Easement for a sanitary
sewer easement to convey real property interest to Central San and to authorize recording of the
resolution.
BACKGROUND
Toll Brothers, formerly Shapell Industries, LLC, (Developer) constructed public sanitary sewers within
public roadway and within a sanitary sewer easement (SSE) in San Ramon with Job 6447. As the City of
San Ramon (City) is the underlying fee property owner of the land with the SSE, at the Developer's
request to support their development, the City offered to Central San a Grant of Easement (GOE)for a
sanitary sewer easement.
As Central San accepted the public sewers constructed with this job, staff recommends the Board
accepts the GOE.

ALTERNATIVES/CONSIDERATIONS
The Board could decline to accept the GOE. This alternative is not recommended as Central San would
not have recorded land rights to reconstruct, maintain or operate the public sanitary sewers that were
accepted by Central San.
FINANCIAL IMPACTS
None as the Developer paid the fees to process this GOE and record this resolution.
COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION
The Real Estate, Environmental and Planning Committee reviewed this matter at its meeting on March 23,
2022, and recommended
RECOMMENDED BOARD ACTION
Adopt the proposed resolution accepting the Grant of Easement for sanitary sewer easement from the
City of San Ramon.

RESOLUTION NO. 2022-
A RESOLUTION OF THE CENTRAL CONTRA COSTA SANITARY DISTRICT
ACCEPTING A GRANT OF EASEMENT FROM THE CITY OF SAN RAMON
FOR SANITARY SEWER EASEMENTS TO SUPPORT THE TOLL BROTHERS
(FORMERLY SHAPELL INDUSTRIES, LLC) DEVELOPMENT
AS RELATED TO JOB 6447 IN SAN RAMON
BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Directors of the Central Contra Costa Sanitary
District (Central San) as follows:
THAT Central San hereby accepts a Grant of Easement from the City of San Ramon
(City) for a sanitary sewer easement for the portion of public sewer constructed on
property owned by the City; and
THAT Central San hereby accepts the irrevocable offer of dedication for the portion of
public sewer constructed within a portion of Dougherty Road that was accepted by the
City with Road Acceptance (RA) 1208; and
THAT Central San has already accepted the public sewer main and manholes
constructed with this job.
THAT staff is authorized to record this resolution with the Contra Costa County
Recorder.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 7t" day of April, 2022 by the Board of Directors of Central
San by the following vote:
