KEY DATES
• 3/7/22 Employees notified two employees had tested positive for
COVID-19. No exposure occurred, so contact tracing was not required.
• 3/10/22 Employee Q&A session held on the updated COVID-19
Exposure Prevention Plan and Supplemental Paid Sick Leave.
• 3/15/22 Media reports that San Mateo Centers for Disease Control-
affiliated lab Helix has found two unique cases of Delta-Omicron
hybrids from recent positive case testing. So called "Deltacron" is a
rare mutation that features both Delta and Omicron variants of COVID.
Additionally, testing confirms that also in rare instances, individuals can
be infected with both Delta and Omicron variants at the same time.

KEY DATES
• 3/16/22 COVID-19 subvariant BA.2 "stealth Omicron" has caused
a recent and largest surge in China since the beginning of the
pandemic, prompting 51 million people in lockdown. Experts
believe that a mass outbreak in China could potentially lead to the
development of another COVID-19 variant.
• The District has had a total of 89 total COVID-19 cases since the
beginning of the pandemic. Since 12/14/21 there has been a total
of 64 employees who have tested positive for COVID-19 with nine
total positive cases being from unvaccinated employees.
