FOR CONDUCTING ELECTIONS, BASED ON RECENTLY COMPLETED
2020 CENSUS DATA, PURSUANT TO HEALTH AND SAFETY CODE
SECTION 6592; AND 2) RECEIVE UPDATE ON DRAFT REDISTRICTED
DIVISION-BASED BOUNDARYMAPS BYCONSULTANTS
Background
This is the third public hearing to receive input regarding the adjustment of electoral division-based
boundaries as part of the process to transition to a division-based election system, effective with the 2022
election cycle.
Two public hearings to discuss the redistricting of the maps based on the 2020 Census data were held on
October 4 and October 25, 2021.

Based on the 2020 Census data and direction provided at the October 25 public hearing, three draft maps
will be reviewed and discussed. Attached and identified as Orange, Purple, and Tan (listed alphabetically,
not by preference). The Orange and Tan maps will be revisited, while the new Purple map is provided for
review and consideration based on direction provided to the demographer.
There is an interactive map available on Central San's website for any resident interested in drawing a
proposed map for consideration.

Any map suggestions should be emailed to the Secretary of the District at sod@centralsan.org.
Adoption of the final division-based map is scheduled for the next regular Board meeting on December 2,
2021 at 2:30 p.m.
