CALL MEETING TO ORDER Member Nejedly called the meeting to order at 3 p.m. 2. PUBLIC COMMENTS None. 3. OLD BUSINESS None. 4. CLAIMS MANAGEMENT No new claims were reported. 5. REPORTS/ANNOUNCEMENTS a. GASB 45 White Paper and related actuarial report. The White Paper was discussed in detail and the Actuarial Report from the firm of AON Consulting was reviewed. The Committee recommended bringing the white paper and the report to the full Board at the December 20, 2007 meeting. A ~, Recycled Paper b. Discussion of role of Budget and Finance Committee in the 10-Year Plan. The Committee requested Staff to present the assumptions being used to develop the scenarios for the 10-Year Plan at the next Budget and Finance Committee Meeting. c. Report on Job 6421, Amberwood Lane, Walnut Creek. Staff reported that a payment was made to a prior employee for construction work to install sewer main for residences. The cost was collected in advance from the homeowners, and the sewer installation contract was with the homeowners. The District essentially acted as the escrow agent to facilitate the sewer installation. d. The October Financials were not formally reviewed by the Committee, but were submitted to the full Board. 6. REVIEW EXPENDITURES Expenditures were reviewed and there were no outstanding questions. 7. CLOSED SESSION - significant exposure to litigation pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.9(a) - one potential case. One matter was discussed. 8. ADJOURNMENT - at 3:47 p.m.
