WORKING UNDER SHELTER Response
• 7/21/21 The Delta variant accounts for over 84% of all
COVID infections in California.
• 7/26/21 California implements first-in-the-nation
measures to encourage state employees and health care
workers to get vaccinated or be required to get tested
regularly. The State further encourages local governments
and businesses to adopt similar measures.

Response
• 7/29/21 President Biden announces every federal
government employee and on-site contractor will be
asked to attest to their vaccination status. Federal
employees who have not been vaccinated "will be required
to wear a mask on the job no matter their geographic
location, physically distance from all other employees and
visitors, comply with a weekly or twice weekly screening
testing requirement, and be subject to restrictions on official
travel.

• 7/29/21 Email notification sent to employees about the
District's Return to Office plan to return remaining
office-based employees back onsite on or by September
30, 2021 .
• 7/30/21 Email from Human Resources sent to employees
requiring all employees to document vaccination status.
• 8/2/21 Email sent to employees with updates on the new
Bay Area health order requiring masks indoors
egardless of vaccination status.

• 8/3/21 In California, 63% of residents 12 and older are
fully vaccinated and another 9.6% are partially
vaccinated.
• 8/3/21 In Contra Costa County 80.5% of residents 12
and older have received at least one COVID-19 vaccine.
• 8/4/21 Employees notified an employee had tested

ositive for COVID-19. The employee has been working
from home so there was no employee-to-employee
exposure. This was the District's 14th confirmed COVID
se.
