RESPONSE UPDATE Pandemic Response Team Co-coordinators Emily Barnett, Communications & Government Relations Manager Teji O'Malley, Human Resources Manager July 1, 2021 1 WORKING UNDER SHELTER Response • 6/17/21 Governor signs Executive Order expediting Cal/OSHA's revised COVID-19 regulations to ensure consistency with public health guidance. • 6/25/21 World Health Organization urges fully vaccinated people to continue to wear masks in light of Delta variant's rapid spread. • 6/28/21 Governor signs AB 832 extending the state's eviction moratorium through September 30, 2021 and clearing rent debt for low-income Californians that have suffered economic hardship due to the pandemic. 2 ' rdvqw�qff ml 1 WORKING UNDER SHELTER Response • 6/28/21 Los Angeles County Department of Public Health urged even fully vaccinated people to start wearing masks again in some circumstances due to Delta variant. • 6/29/21 County Health Order requires employees of hospitals, nursing and residential care facilities, homeless shelters, and detention facilities to provide proof of vaccination or wear face coverings and get weekly testing beginning July 27, 2021. • 6/29/21 CDC reports the Delta variant now accounts for about one inevery four infections in the US as of June 19, 2021. y • 6/30/21 Employees that have self-reported being vaccinated: 132. 3 ' CFNTPAI SAN 3 NEW CAL OSHA COVID-19 PREVENTION EMERGENCY TEMPORARY STANDARDS Effective June 18, 2021, the new standards include the following: • Fully vaccinated employees do not need to be offered testing or excluded from work after close contact unless they have COVID-19 symptoms. • Fully vaccinated employees do not need to wear face coverings except for certain situations during outbreaks and in settings where CDPH requires all persons to wear them.
