Energy Usage - March 2021 June 17, 2021 Regular Board Meeting Agenda Packet- Page 144 of 168 Page 2 of 3 Attachment 1 Board Meeting of June 17, 2021 General Manager Written Announcements HUMAN RESOURCES 1) Central San Welcomes New Staff Engineer Ruben Herrera Ruben Herrera is the newest member of the Capital Projects Division as a Staff Engineer. Ruben joined the District on June 1, 2021. He graduated from California Polytechnic University with a degree in Civil Engineering. For the past seven years, Ruben has worked as a project engineer on the construction of large water infrastructure projects for San Diego Water Authority, Metropolitan Water District, and, most recently, Silicon Valley Clean Water. His strong construction background is a great asset for the Division with the number and size of projects to be built over the coming years. Ruben looks forward to contributing to the engineering team and his future with Central San. ENERGY CONSUMPTION 2) First Quarter Update on Central San's Energy Usage Central San actively tracks greenhouse (GHG) emissions to optimize the use of energy at its facilities in the most cost-effective and environmentally responsible manner. The attached energy dashboard contains a breakdown of Central San's energy usage for the month of March 2021 along with a comparison of the energy used during the first quarter of the calendar year. The chart shows the cost breakdown of Pacific Gas and Electric and Marin Clean Energy electricity.
