(Handout) WORKING UNDER SHELTER •6/7/21 State announces 99% of public schools will return to in- person instruction by Fall 2021. •6/11/21 Governor announces he will begin winding down Executive Orders put in place for the pandemic response. •6/15/21 State removed color-coded tier system for counties. This provides far fewer restrictions for business and social activity; however, some requirements are still necessary. •6/15/21 County rescinds prior Health Order lifting local restrictions on business activities. •6/15/21 Email to employees that current safety protocols still in effect until further clarification is determined from Cal/OSHA Response 2 (est. Delta Variant is 60% more transmissible and listed as “Variant of Concern” by CDC. Studies show Moderna/Pfizer vaccinations are 79-88% affective against variant, and 96% affective against hospitalizations. •6/15/21 United States (US) reaches a sober milestone of 600,000 lives lost to COVID-19. •6/15/21 Over 54% of US adults are fully vaccinated and 65% have received at least one dose. •6/16/21 Employees that have self-reported being vaccinated: 129. Response 3 WORKING UNDER SHELTER Masking Requirements and Guidance - Fully Vaccinated People •Masks are not required in most settings, except where required for All People (exceptions listed below) Masking Requirements and Guidance - Unvaccinated or Partially Vaccinated People •Masks are required for unvaccinated individuals in indoor public settings and businesses (examples: retail, restaurants, theaters, family entertainment centers, meetings, state and local government offices serving the public) All People Both fully vaccinated and unvaccinated people must wear masks in these settings: •Public transit (examples: airplanes, ships, ferries, trains, subways, buses, taxis, and ride- shares) •Transportation hubs (examples: airport, bus terminal, marina, train station, seaport or other port, subway station, or any other area that provides transportation) Response 4 3 4 3 WORKING UNDER SHELTER Masking Requirements and Guidance - All People (continued) Both fully vaccinated and unvaccinated people must wear masks in these settings: •Workplace: Masks must continue to be worn on the job.
