HR Report- First Quarter 2021 April 15, 2021 Regular Board Meeting Agenda Packet- Page 155 of 185 Page 2 of 5 ATTACHMENT 1 Board Meeting of April 15, 2021 General Manager Written Announcements PROJECT UPDATES 1) Public Bidding for Walnut Creek Sewer Renovations, Phase 15, DP 8465 The Walnut Creek Sewer Renovations, Phase 15, DP 8465, is part of the ongoing Collection System Sewer Renovation Program. This project will renovate approximately 9,300 feet of sewer mains, primarily 6-inch and 8-inch clay sewers, within the City and unincorporated limits of Walnut Creek and the City of Lafayette. Construction activities will include open-trench, pipe-bursting, and cured-in-place pipe methods within public rights- of-way and private easements. Due to COVID-19, community outreach has been performed through online resources and posted on the District's website. Additionally, notification letters were sent to the impacted resident and neighborhoods. This project will be advertised and bid in the month of May. The Engineer's estimate is $4,100,000. More information will be presented when the Board is asked to award the construction contract on June 17, 2021. HUMAN RESOURCES 2) Update on Personnel Actions — First Quarter 2021 See Attachment 2 for the Human Resources report covering personnel actions for January 1 through March 31, 2021. CONTRACTS & AGREEMENTS — QUARTERLY UPDATE 3) General Manager Authorized Contracts, Agreements, Etc. — First Quarter 2021 The Board has delegated various authorities to the General Manager via Board Policy No. BP 037 — Delegation of Authority to General Manager, including the authority to enter into certain agreements and contracts on behalf of the District. Additionally, the Board has requested an announcement when construction projects have been accepted, which occurs when the Notice of Completion is recorded with the County Recorder's Office. Also, the Board has requested notification of certain legal claim settlements.
