ISSUE
The Board of Directors (Board) must set a date and time for the public hearing on SSC rates.
BACKGROUND
On April 18, 2019, the Board of Directors approved SSC rates for FY 2019-20, FY 2020-21, FY 2021-
22, and FY 2022-23 with the requirement that each year thereafter, it shall consider, at a noticed public
hearing each year prior to June 30, Central San's proposed budget, its financial condition, projected
capital and operations and maintenance costs, as well as other factors which bear on Central San's
revenue requirements to determine whether the increased amounts set forth for each fiscal year are still
necessary.
At the Financial Planning Board Workshop on March 25, 2021, the Board will be presented with a
schedule which will include holding a public hearing on April 15, 2021 to review the proposed increases
to SSC rates. The regular Board Meeting on April 15 will begin at 1:30 p.m.

A public hearing is required. The Board could consider alternative times for the public hearing to promote
public attendance.

Set public hearing for April 15, 2021 at 1:30 p.m. to consider the approved SSC rates for FY 2021-22.
