Board of Directors Re: Comments on the Sewer Lateral Issue Pacheco Blvd Dear Board Members, As the resident of 2367 Pacheco Blvd. I would like to encourage the board to consider the option of having the main sewer line be provided at no cost to myself and the adjoining neighbor at address 2369 Pacheco Blvd. Through no fault of my own my existing sewer lateral was vandalized by the owner of 2357 Pacheco Blvd. I was prepared to start installation of my own lateral to join to the main sewer line when I found that there was in fact no main line for my property to join to. I don't feel that its unreasonable for myself, as the home owner,to have the reasonable expectation of a main line available to the property considering the age (100 years) of my home. I unfortunately happen to be the owner the year that this issue has been discovered. The oversight of a mismanaged sewer renovation project in the past should not now be put on the tax bill of a now owner of a property that has been paying their tax bill, on time, every year for services that apparently didn't even exist. This oversight was never disclosed to any of the current owners involved and we should not be held responsible for past City and County shortcomings. I would hope that the board considers the option of installing the main line at no cost to the homeowners so that I may facilitate my own installation of a private sewer lateral to join the main sewer line. As a working single mother, I am very grateful to even be a home owner in Northern California and understand the importance of maintaining my property. To then be saddled with the surprise burden of paying additionally for a service that should be already available to me may be more of a burden than I can bare. Thank you, Ivy Reite 2367 Pacheco Blvd. Martinez, CA 94553
