WORKING UNDER SHELTER
Response
• 1 /25/21 State lifts regional stay-at-home order for Bay Area.
• 1 /28/21 California tasks Blue Shield with managing vaccine
rollout. The transition to the new system is expected by mid-
February. Blue Shield's job will be to assemble a statewide
vaccination network and allocate vaccines directly to providers to
maximize distribution efficiency, replacing the patchwork county-by-
county efforts with a centralized system . Kaiser will also sign an
agreement with the State to manage vaccinations for its 9 million
members.
