• 1/11/21 County ramps up COVID-19 Vaccination Efforts. ver
30,000 doses have been administered to high risk and frontline
healthcare worker categories. The County has launched with
vaccinations to groups 1A & 1 B. The goal is to reach 75% of eligible
residents (725,000 people) over the next six months to reach herd
immunity. This will require a ramp up to 7,000 vaccinations per day.
Healthcare providers will roll out the vaccinations.
• 1/13/21 Governor announces that residents 65 and older (6.6
million) are eligible to receive the vaccine. California has
administered 890,000 of their 3.43 million doses. John Muir Health
orts that mid-February will be likely timeframe for 65+ category.

F- 1/14/21 CDC reports 11.1 million vaccine doses of the 30.6
million distributed in the U.S. have been administered
• 1/15/21 ICU capacity for the Bay Area reaches 6.2%. Contra
Costa County ICU capacity is 4.2%.
• 1/19/21 U.S. COVID-19 deaths reach over 400,000. In
California there are nearly 3 million total positive cases and
a total of over 33,000 deaths.
• 1/19/21 Email sent to employees providing the updated
COVID-19 Exposure Prevention Plan. Employees also
received the updated FAQs on the District's decision to allow
employees, in certain scenarios, to utilize any unused portion of
eir Emergency Paid Sick Leave.
