PROTECTING PUBLIC HEALTH AND
THE ENVIRONMENT
The RV dumping station addresses our values
• Leadership:Provide a safe and healthful <
environment
• Community:Foster excellent community
relationships
"!don't actually have an RV,butmy neighbordoes.
ltsounds like he empties his RV wastewater into the
storm sewer function box at the corner of his
property near mine.So,while l personally wouldn't
use the wastewater station,!'d be happy if it was _
easier far him to dispose of it in a wastewater,
instead of a stormwater,system.Thanks!" \

OUR COMMUNITY NEEDS
• A dumping station would prevent illegal dumping, which pollutes
waterways and poses public health hazards, such as hepatitis A
and typhus.
• People are buying RVs to isolate during the pandemic and will
continue using them after the pandemic.
• RVs serve as emergency housing during wildfire season,
earthquakes, and power outages.
Ldw
using shortage has led more people to use RVs for low-cost
elling as housing costs continue to climb in the Bay Area.
