The plan provides $2 billion to support safety measures for .reopening schools in early spring . WORKING UNDER SHELTER Response • 1 /5/21 Employees notified an employee had tested positive for COVID-19. No contact tracing was necessary as the employee had no contact with other employees during the exposure period . This was the eighth confirmed case. • 1 /5/21 ICU capacity for the Bay Area reaches 8.4%. Contra Costa County ICU capacity is 8. 1 %. • 1 /5/21 Governor proposes $4.5 billion for economic recovery for small businesses, job initiatives, and economic recovery in 2021 -22 state budget. WORKING UNDER SHELTER Response • 1 /6/21 Governor proposes $600 rapid cash payments to approximately four million low-income Californians as part of the 2021 -22 state budget proposal . In addition , the Governor is requesting an extension of the eviction moratorium past the current January 31 , 2021 deadline.
