SUBJECT: REVIEW DRAFT TIMELINES (GANTT CHARTS) FORACTIVITIES
RELATED TO UPCOMING LABOR NEGOTIATIONS WITH THE
MANAGEMENT GROUP, MANAGEMENT SUPPORT/CONFIDENTIAL
GROUP (MS/CG)AND PUBLIC EMPLOYEES UNION, LOCAL #1 (LOCAL
ONE)
The District's three recognized bargaining units: Management Group, Management Support/Confidential
Group (MS/CG), and Public Employees Union, Local #1 (Local One)will be expiring and negotiations will
commence in 2021 for successor Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs).
The Management Group's current MOU expires on December 17, 2021, and Local One and MS/CG
MOU's to expire on April 17, 2022. Pursuant to Government Code 3500-3511 and Central San's
Employer-Employee Relations Ordinance (Chapter 4.24 of the District Code), the District is required to
negotiate all matters related to wages, hours, and other terms and conditions of employment.
The District will need to meet with bargaining unit representatives to negotiate these terms, and all
provisions within the MOUs can be considered for negotiations. Attached are draft Gantt charts reflecting
activities related to the upcoming labor negotiations. The first chart (Attachment 1) relates to the
negotiations with the Management Group, and the second chart (Attachment 2) relates to the negotiations
with MS/CG and Local One. These charts will be updated as negotiations approach and progress, and will be
presented to the Committee each meeting as a standing item until the Board's adoption of the successor MOUs.
