WORKING UNDER SHELTER
Response
•9/24/20 County Requires local health providers to expan
COVID-19 testing. Health Order takes effect on October 8, 2020.
Requires all private healthcare facilities to provide timely tests to
essential workers, those with symptoms, and those exposed to
COVID-19. County Health Services has sent a formal request to
large providers including Kaiser Permanente and John Muir Health.
•9/29/20 County qualifies to move to Red "Substantial" Tier. To
move into the red tier, the County had to see average case rates
drop below 7 per 100,000 people and testing positivity rates dip
below 8%. For the past two weeks, the County has met those
benchmarks. As of September 29, the case rate was 6.7 per 100,000
people and the testing positivity rate was 3.7%.
