BAILEY, GENERAL MANAGER SUBJECT: RECEIVE UPDATE ON THE 2020 POLLUTION PREVENTION (P2) AWARDS, INCLUDING P2AWARD WINNER, RECYCLED WATER CHAMPIONS, WATER QUALITY COMMUNITY PARTNERS AND P2 PARTNERS I n conjunction with National Pollution Prevention Week, Central San every year honors businesses for their exceptional efforts to go beyond compliance to minimize water pollution and protect the environment. Since the pollution prevention awards program was initiated in 1992, Central San has recognized hundreds of local businesses. As in recent years, Central San will provide awards in the categories of pollution prevention, recycled water, water quality community partners and pollution prevention partners. The list of award winners is attached. The winners will be presented with their awards at Sustainable Contra Costa's annual Leadership in Sustainability Awards Gala held virtually this year on September 17, 2020. Staff is providing this update as an informational item only.
