ISSUE
A resolution of the Board of Directors is required to accept offers of dedications of sanitary sewer
easements as depicted on the subdivision map that conveys real estate property interest to Central San.
BACKGROUND
Lenox Homes constructed public sanitary sewers within sanitary sewer easements in Lafayette with Job
6638. To provide the necessary land rights to the public sanitary sewers, the property owners offered
Central San sewer easements on the Final Map that was filed with the Contra Costa County Recorder.

ALTERNATIVES/CONSIDERATIONS
The Board could decline to accept the offer of dedication of sewer easements. This alternative is not
recommended since Central San would not have the land rights necessary to reconstruct, maintain, or
operate the public sanitary sewers that have been accepted from Lenox Homes, and are now owned by
Central San.
FINANCIAL IMPACTS
The offer of dedication of sanitary sewer easements as depicted on said subdivision map were acquired
at no cost to Central San.
COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION
This item was not reviewed by a Board Committee.
RECOMMENDED BOARD ACTION
Adopt the proposed resolution accepting an offer of dedication of sanitary sewer easements as depicted
on Subdivision Map 9425, as stated in the proposed resolution, from the property owner, as related to Job
6638, located in the City of Lafayette, and authorizing staff to record documents with the Contra Costa
County Recorder.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CENTRAL CONTRA COSTA SANITARY DISTRICT
ACCEPTING AN OFFER OF DEDICATION OF SANITARY SEWER EASEMENTS
AS RELATED TO JOB 6638, LOCATED IN THE CITY OF LAFAYETTE
BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Directors of the Central Contra Costa Sanitary
District (Central San) as follows:
THAT Central San hereby accepts the sanitary sewer easements offered from the
subdivision map, listed on Exhibit A; and
THAT staff is authorized to record this resolution with the Contra Costa County
Recorder.
