BAILEY, GENERAL MANAGER SUBJECT: RECEIVE UPDATE ON SLUDGE LOADING AND HAULING FOR THE EMERGENCYSLUDGE LOADOUT FACILITY UPGRADES, DISTRICT PROJECT 7348A The Emergency Sludge Loadout Facility Upgrades, District Project 7348A is near construction completion and acceptance. The project includes installing new loading and isolation gates, improved ventilation and odor control, and new control systems to operate the facility. As part of the project, the facility underwent several modes of testing including actual sludge loading and hauling. Central San staff and the contractor, Auburn Constructors, LLC, spent three days, from June 23 to 25, loading and hauling approximately 206 tons of undigested sludge to the Fairfield-Suisun Sewer District for use as biofertilizer by Lystek International, Inc. Staff will provide a verbal update of the three-day testing results and present a video demonstrating the facility in operation.
