EMERGENCYSLUDGE LOADOUT FACILITY UPGRADES, DISTRICT
PROJECT 7348A
The Emergency Sludge Loadout Facility Upgrades, District Project 7348A is near construction
completion and acceptance. The project includes installing new loading and isolation gates, improved
ventilation and odor control, and new control systems to operate the facility. As part of the project, the
facility underwent several modes of testing including actual sludge loading and hauling. Central San staff
and the contractor, Auburn Constructors, LLC, spent three days, from June 23 to 25, loading and hauling
approximately 206 tons of undigested sludge to the Fairfield-Suisun Sewer District for use as biofertilizer
by Lystek International, Inc.
Staff will provide a verbal update of the three-day testing results and present a video demonstrating the
facility in operation.
