ISSUE
A resolution of the Board of Directors is required to accept a grant of easement for sanitary sewer
easement that conveys real estate property interest to Central San.
BACKGROUND
Contra Costa County(County) realigned a portion of an existing public sewer within a sanitary sewer
easement on a parcel of land they own in Martinez with Job 6672. To provide the necessary land rights to
the public sewers, the County provided an executed grant of easement.

ALTERNATIVES/CONSIDERATIONS
The Board could decline to accept the grant of easement. This alternative is not recommended since
Central San would not have the land rights necessary to reconstruct, maintain or operate the public sanitary
sewers that have been substantially accepted from the County and are now owned by Central San.
FINANCIAL IMPACTS
The grant of easement for sewer purposes was acquired at no cost to Central San.
COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION
This item was not reviewed by a Board Committee.
RECOMMENDED BOARD ACTION
Adopt a resolution accepting the grant of easement from Contra Costa County as stated in the attached
proposed resolution, as related to Job 6672, located in the City of Martinez.
