(Handout) Board Meeting of March 5, 2020 General Manager Written Announcements CUSTOMER OUTREACH 1) Public Workshop Scheduled for March 25, 2020 Regarding Walnut Creek Sewer Renovation Project, Phase 14, District Project 8460 Central San will host a public workshop regarding the Walnut Creek Sewer Renovation Project, Phase 14, District Project 8460, on Wednesday, March 25 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Collection System Operations office located at 1250 Springbrook Road in Walnut Creek. The project will replace/rehabilitate approximately 8,500 feet of sewer pipe at several different sites in Walnut Creek and Pleasant Hill using open-cut, pipe-bursting, CIPP, and Slip Lining methods. Staff is in the process of contacting all residents who will be affected by easement work on their properties. Members of the public are invited to attend to learn more about the project and its potential impact on the surrounding neighborhoods. 2) Public Workshop Scheduled for March 26, 2020 Regarding Martinez Sewer Renovation Project, Phase 6, District Project 8458 Central San will host a public workshop regarding the Martinez Sewer Renovation Project, Phase 6, District Project 8458, on Thursday, March 26 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the HOB Board in Martinez. The project will replace/rehabilitate approximately 9,000 feet of sewer pipe at several different sites in Martinez using open-cut, pipe-bursting, and CIPP methods. Staff is in the process of contacting all residents who will be affected by easement work on their properties. Members of the public are invited to attend to learn more about the project and its potential impact on the surrounding neighborhoods. HUMAN RESOURCES 2) Employee Engagement Survey Now Open Central San is committed to empowering and engaging its employees. In order to understand where efforts should be focused towards meeting that goal, Central San is conducting an employee engagement survey through a third-party consultant, Written Announcements March 5, 2020 Page 2 of 2 Cooperative Personnel Services HR Consulting (CPS). CPS works with hundreds of public agencies throughout the United States and is a public agency in itself. The survey opened to employees District wide on Monday, March 2 and will close on Friday, March 20. The baseline data gathered through the survey will help Central San assess its strengths, identify gaps, and develop and implement an action plan to ensure high levels of engagement at all levels of the organization. Central San will perform additional surveys in the future to assess employees' ongoing engagement levels. All District staff as well as the Board will receive the results of the survey.
