RECOMMENDATION: Adopt a resolution accepting grants of easements and authorizing staff to record the documents with the Contra Costa County Recorder. FINANCIAL IMPACTS: A total of $111,694 was paid for these nine permanent easements in the "Green Street" Neighborhood for the Martinez Sewer Renovations Project, Phase 3 (DP 5952). ALTERNATIVES /CONSIDERATIONS: None. BACKGROUND: The District installed approximately 5,350 feet of sewer by horizontal directional drilling, pipe - bursting, and open -cut methods as part of the Martinez Sewer Renovations Project, Phase 3 (DP 5952). Since some of the renovation occurred within private properties, staff obtained easement purchase agreements (EPAs) from property owners where additional land rights were necessary to support the project work. AND HELEN ANN MORRIS, RONALD VANES, JEREMY KANGAS AND MELISSA TAYLOR, AMANDA CORDERO, AND RICHARD AND NANCY DEL FIORENTINO, PROPERTY OWNERS IN THE GREEN STREET NEIGHBORHOOD, MARTINEZ, AND AUTHORIZING STAFF TO RECORD THE DOCUMENTS (DISTRICT PROJECT 5952 — PARCELS 1 -9 *) grant a permanent easement upon completion of the project once the actual sewer alignment was confirmed. These easements are the first nine of eighteen new permanent sanitary sewer easements that District will receive. Additional grants of easements will be submitted for Board acceptance once the grants of easements are obtained from the remaining nine property owners. RECOMMENDED BOARD ACTION: Adopt a resolution accepting grants of easements from Wayne White and Margaret Rose Darrah, Harold and Kathaleen Radke, Don Green and Laurel Gaiser, C. L. and Helen Ann Morris, Ronald Vanes, Jeremy Kangas and Melissa Taylor, Richard and Nancy Del Fiorentino, and Amanda Cordero, property owners at 822 and 834 Carquinez Way; 919, 925, 935, 945, and 971 West Green Street; and 067 Green Street, respectively, Martinez, and authorizing staff to record the documents with the Contra Costa County Recorder. *Easement parcel numbers are for internal job log use only.
