Molgraves James M. elly, General Manager ISSUE: The District has received a claim for $981.35 from Rob Wilkinson for damage to his vehicle while driving over a depression in front of a manhole. RECOMMENDATION: Deny the claim. FINANCIAL IMPACTS: Denying the claim has no fiscal impact. ALTERNATIVES /CONSIDERATIONS: The alternative is to accept the claim and pay Mr. Wilkinson. BACKGROUND: During the investigation of this claim, staff discovered that the manhole and surrounding depression that caused Mr. Wilkinson's vehicle damage is not one that is owned or operated by the District. This matter has been reviewed by the Budget & Finance Committee. RECOMMENDED BOARD ACTION: Deny the claim.
