• Staff unable to obtain easements for 43 and
47 Camino Encinas.
• Planned sewer construction will be deleted
from the project and' included in 2011 project
•-Staff will continue to pursue property rights
which may include eminent domain action
Results in contract cost reduction of $100,000
of which $24,000 was for drilling pipe

Hall Drive Sewer Re-Drill
• On July 19th after the main line was installed,
discovered discrepancy with elevation
between main line and existing sewer lateral
• Lateral elevation at the house was lower than
depicted in design. t
• Best solution was to lower the main line
elevation by re-drilling main line.

(WCC), sub-contractor for concrete
construction has walked off the job due to
financial problems '
• Bobo Construction will self perform concrete.
work on the current schedule critical path
• Future specialty concrete work that WCC was
to perform will require a replacement
subcontractor, and BCI intends to replace
WCC

Section 4107
• Requires "awarding authority or duly
authorized officer" approval to substitute a
subcontractor
• Identifies situations to allow substitution
• Requires notice to the sub-contractor and
gives him 5 working days to object.
• If there is an objection, requires a hearing to
complete approval
