SUBJECT: ADOPT MISSION AND UPDATED VISION, VALUES, AND GOALS FOR
FISCAL YEARS 2020-21 AND 2021-22 STRATEGIC PLAN
At its November 4, 2019 workshop, in advance of the development of the Fiscal Years 2020-22 Strategic
Plan, the Board reviewed proposed amendments to the District's Vision, Values, and Goals. It is staff's
recommendation that the Mission remain unchanged. Attached are the Mission and a strikeout version of
the proposed changes to the Vision, Values, and Goals (Attachment 1).
Below are the proposed final Mission, Vision, Values, and Goals:

With the Board's re-adoption of the Mission and adoption of revisions to the Vision, Values, and Goals,
staff will conduct an internal workshop in January 2020 to refine the Strategies, Initiatives, Key Success
Measures, and Metrics for the FYs 2020-22 Strategic Plan. These will be presented to the Administration
Committee in March 2020 for incorporation into the Budget and, in May 2020, the final FYs 2020-22
Strategic Plan will be presented to the Board.
