assist with repairs to furnace emergency
shut off valve .
General Manager reports operational
status to Board within 30 minutes of event.
Plant operations stabilize by 11 : 30 , less
than 1 hour after the event.
EARTHQUAKES - LESSONS 1--. EARNED
Need a single point of contact in the control
room so shift supervisor can focus on stabilizing
plant rather than answering the phone .
Plant Ops Manager monitors and reports to GM, others as needed.
Consider a mandatory reporting threshold .
Management currently monitors event status by phone until severity is
determined. What if phone service isn't available?
Identify tools to create a virtual whiteboard .
Record multiple status reports in a single shared space.
IT researching ways to accomplish this with existing software.
