CUSTOMER OUTREACH
3) Outreach Event Scheduled for October 17, 2019 Regarding Pump Station
Upgrades Project, Phase 1, District Project 8436
Central San will host an "open house" style session for customers that are located near
the Moraga Pumping Station. Central San staff will be available at the pumping station,
where the work will be performed, on Thursday, October 17 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. so that
customers can stop by for project information, ask questions, and provide input.
The project will replace major mechanical, electrical, and controls equipment at a total of
three pump stations in Orinda and Moraga. Due to the different types of impact and
proximity of neighbors, staff will extensively reach out individually to residents located
adjacent to the Flush-Kleen pumping station and businesses located near the Orinda
Crossroads Pumping Station. Based on input from both cities, additional outreach may
include brief written/oral construction updates to City of Orinda and Town of Moraga
Councils and releases to local media.
