Alm General Manager District Counsel ISSUE A resolution of the Board of Directors is required to accept offers of dedication of sanitary sewer easements as depicted on subdivision maps and to accept grants of irrevocable offers of dedication of sanitary sewer easements (I OD)that convey real estate property interest to Central San. BACKGROUND With Job 6660, located in Pleasant Hill, the Developer, Tri Pointe Homes, Inc., a Delaware Corporation, October 3, 2019 Regular Board Meeting Agenda Packet- Page 103 of 263 Page 2 of 4 constructed public sanitary sewers within sanitary sewer easements. To provide the necessary land rights to the public sanitary sewers, the Developer offered Central San sewer easements on a Final Map that was filed with the Contra Costa County Recorder and offered sewer easements from a recorded I OD. As the public sanitary sewers were constructed and accepted per Central San's standards, staff recommends the Board accept these offers of dedication of sanitary sewer easements at this time. Upon acceptance and recording of this resolution, Central San will have the necessary land rights for the reconstruction, maintenance, and operation of these public sanitary sewers. ALTERNATIVES/CONSIDERATIONS The Board could decline to accept these offers of dedication of sewer easements. This alternative is not recommended since Central San would not have the land rights necessary to reconstruct, maintain or operate the public sanitary sewers that have been accepted from the Developer and are now owned by the Central San. FINANCIAL IMPACTS The offers of dedication of sanitary sewer easements, as depicted on said subdivision map and from the recorded 10 D, were acquired at no cost to Central San. COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION This item was not reviewed by a Board committee. RECOMMENDED BOARD ACTION Adopt a resolution accepting the offer of dedication of a sanitary sewer easement as depicted on Subdivision Map 9469 and accepting a Grant of I rrevocable Offer of Dedication of a sanitary sewer easement as stated in the attached resolution from Tri Pointe Homes, Inc., a Delaware Corporation, as related to Job 6660, located in City of Pleasant Hill.
