Alm General Manager District Counsel ISSUE A resolution of the Board of Directors is required to accept offers of dedication of sanitary sewer easements as depicted on subdivision maps that convey real estate property interest to Central San. BACKGROUND With Jobs 6611 and 6612, located in Walnut Creek, the Developer, Pulte Home Corporation, constructed public sanitary sewers within sanitary sewer easements. To provide the necessary land rights to the public sanitary sewers, the property owner, on behalf of the Developer, offered to Central San sewer easements September 5, 2019 Regular Board Meeting Agenda Packet- Page 156 of 201 Page 2 of 3 on a Final Map that was filed with Contra Costa County Recorder. ALTERNATIVES/CONSIDERATIONS The Board could decline to accept the offer of dedication of sewer easements. This alternative is not recommended since Central San would not have the land rights necessary to reconstruct, maintain or operate the public sanitary sewers that have been accepted from the Developer and are now owned by the Central San. FINANCIAL IMPACTS The offer of dedication of sanitary sewer easements as depicted on said subdivision map was acquired at no cost to Central San. COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION This item was not reviewed by a Board committee. RECOMMENDED BOARD ACTION Adopt a resolution accepting the offer of dedication of sanitary sewer easements as depicted on Subdivision Map 9430 as stated in the attached proposed resolution from the property owner on behalf of the Developer, Pulte Home Corporation, as related to Jobs 6611 and 6612, located in City of Walnut Creek. Proposed Resolution September 5, 2019 Regular Board Meeting Agenda Packet- Page 157 of 201 Page 3 of 3 RESOLUTION NO. 2019- A RESOLUTION OF THE CENTRAL CONTRA COSTA SANITARY DISTRICT ACCEPTING OFFER OF DEDICATION OF SANITARY SEWER EASEMENTS AS DEPICTED ON SUBDIVISION MAP 9430 AS RELATED TO JOBS 6611 AND 6612 BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Directors of Central Contra Costa Sanitary District (Central San) as follows: THAT Central San hereby accepts the sanitary sewer easements offered from a subdivision map, titled "Subdivision 9430, Trellis" and this map was filed on December 19, 2016 in Book 531 of Maps at Pages 1-10 as Document Series 2016-0274762 with Contra Costa County Recorder; and THAT staff is authorized to record this resolution with the Contra Costa County Recorder.
