BAILEY GENERAL MANAGER SUBJECT: RECEIVE UPDATE ON THE MOST RECENT MEETING OF THE BAYAREA CLEAN WATER AGENCIES (BACWA) • May 17, 2019: Last Executive Board Meeting. • May 20, 2019: Last Joint BACWA/RWQCB Meeting. • June 21, 2019: Next Executive Board Meeting. • Nutrients: Nutrient Management Strategy Steering Committee Meeting will be held on June 14, 2019. San Francisco Estuary Institute (S F E I) is executing the contract on the Nature-Based Solutions Study required in the 2nd Nutrients Watershed Permit. • Microplastics: Workshop was held on May 22, 2019 at SFEI to discuss ongoing studies. • Toxicity: State Water Board has revised the timeline for the toxicity provisions. There will be a workshop on June 24, 2019, where the State Water Board staff will introduce changes to the draft provisions and then a second workshop will likely be held in July. Targeting October for Board consideration of the provisions. • Basin Plan Amendments: Potential for the removal of Oil and Grease effluent limits for wastewater discharges.
