BAILEY, GENERAL MANAGER SUBJECT: RECEIVE UPDATE ON THE MOST RECENT MEETING OF THE BAYAREA CLEAN WATER AGENCIES (BACWA) • April 19, 2019: Last Executive Board Meeting. • May 17, 2019: Next Executive Board Meeting. • May 20, 2019: Next Joint BACWA/RWQCB Meeting. • Nutrients Watershed Permit: Per the last REEP meeting, adoption of the tentative order is scheduled for May 8, 2019. Lori Schectel, as BACWA Chair, will be speaking on behalf of BACWA. The permit requires group studies on Nature-Based Solutions and Recycling efforts. • Constituents of Emerging Concern: The San Francisco Estuary Institute will be conducting a study on ethoxylated surfactants. There will be a microplastics workgroup meeting on May 22, 2019 and Central San will be participating. • Toxicity Provisions: There will be a State Water Board workshop on June 3, 2019 in Sacramento. Central San Staff will be tuning in. • Update on key legislation was provided. • Statewide Sanitary Sewer Systems General Order: State Water Board hosted a workshop in Sacramento on April 17, 2019. The draft of the permit is expected in the next six months or so.
