ENVIRONMENTAL OUTREACH
2) Commercial Aired over Thanksgiving Holiday Yields Great Results
Central San, for the third year in a row, ran the commercial entitled "Dispose of Your
Cooking Oil Properly" to coincide with the Thanksgiving holiday. The commercial ran 522
times on 11 chosen cable networks within the Central San's service area the week of and
after the Thanksgiving holiday. The commercial was also provided on digital televised
platforms, including tablets, laptops, phones, etc. and aired over 15,000 times. The
commercial was a strong success, reaching 45% of Central San's customer base with a
combined viewing of over 124 hours of the commercial. This strategically placed
commercial, as well as all Central San's outreach, has created a rise above the normal
growth pattern in the use of the Household Hazardous Waste Collection Facility.
