ISSUE
A resolution of the Board of Directors (Board) is required to accept a grant of irrevocable offer of
dedication of a sanitary sewer easement to convey real estate property interest to Central San
and to record the resolution with the Contra Costa County Recorder.

BACKGROUND
With Jobs 6654, 6572, 6582 and 6595, located in the cities of Walnut Creek, Alamo and San Ramon,
developers constructed public sanitary sewers within sanitary sewer easements. To provide the necessary
land rights to the public sanitary sewers, the developers recorded a grant of irrevocable offer of dedication
(easement for sewer purposes).
As the public sanitary sewers were constructed and accepted per Central San's standards, staff
recommends the Board accepts these recorded grants of irrevocable offers of dedication of sanitary
sewer easements at this time.
Upon acceptance and recording of this resolution, Central San will have the necessary land rights for the
reconstruction, maintenance, and operation of these public sanitary sewers.
ALTERNATIVES/CONSIDERATIONS
The Board could decline to accept the offers of dedication of sanitary sewer easements. This alternative is
not recommended since Central San would not have the land rights necessary to reconstruct, maintain, or
operate the public sanitary sewers that have been accepted from the Developer and are now owned by
Central San.
FINANCIAL IMPACTS
The grants of irrevocable offers of dedication of sanitary sewer easements were acquired at no cost to
Central San.
COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION
This item was not reviewed by a Board Committee.
RECOMMENDED BOARD ACTION
Adopt a resolution: (1) accepting the grants of irrevocable offers of dedication of sanitary sewer
easements from developers that were recorded as listed on Exhibit A attached to the proposed resolution
as related to Jobs 6654, 6572, 6582 and 6595, located in the cities of Walnut Creek, Alamo and San
Ramon; and (2) authorizing staff to record this resolution with the Contra Costa County Recorder.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CENTRAL CONTRA COSTA SANITARY DISTRICT
ACCEPTING GRANTS OF IRREVOCABLE OFFERS OF DEDICATION
OF SANITARY SEWER EASEMENTS FROM DEVELOPERS AS RELATED TO
JOBS 6654, 6572, 6582 AND 6595 LOCATED IN
WALNUT CREEK, ALAMO AND SAN RAMON
AND AUTHORIZING RECORDING OF THIS RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, developers with Jobs 6654, 6572, 6582 and 6595, that are located in Walnut
Creek, Alamo and San Ramon, constructed public sanitary sewers; and
WHEREAS, the developers offered sanitary sewer easements to Central Contra Costa
Sanitary District (Central San) via a recorded document titled "Grant of Irrevocable Offer of
Dedication (Easement for Sanitary Sewer Purposes)" as listed in attached Exhibit A; and
WHEREAS, the public sanitary sewers were constructed and accepted per Central San's
standards, staff recommends the Board of Directors accepts the sanitary sewer easements.
BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Directors of Central San as follows:
THAT Central San hereby accepts the sanitary sewer easements as stated in said Grants of
Irrevocable Offers of Dedication, which are more specifically referred to as "Grant of
Irrevocable Offer of Dedication," more particularly described in attached Exhibit A; and
THAT staff is authorized to record this resolution with the Contra Costa County Recorder.
