ISSUE
A resolution of the Board of Directors (Board) is required to accept offers of dedication of sanitary sewer
easements depicted on subdivision maps to convey real estate property interest to Central San and to
record the resolution with the Contra Costa County Recorder.

BACKGROUND
Developers with Jobs 5831 and 6591, that are located in Martinez, constructed public sanitary sewers
within sanitary sewer easements. To provide the necessary land rights to the public sanitary sewers, the
developers offered to Central San sewer easements on subdivision maps as listed on Exhibit A of the
attached resolution.
The public sanitary sewers were constructed and accepted per Central San's standards, therefore staff
recommends the Board accepts these offers of dedication of sanitary sewer easements at this time.
Upon acceptance and recording of this resolution, Central San will have the necessary land rights for the
reconstruction, maintenance, and operation of these public sanitary sewers.
ALTERNATIVES/CONSIDERATIONS
The Board could decline to accept the offers of dedication of sanitary sewer easements. This alternative is
not recommended since Central San would not have the land rights necessary to reconstruct, maintain, or
operate the public sanitary sewers that have been accepted from the Developer and are now owned by
Central San.
FINANCIAL IMPACTS
The offers of dedication of sanitary sewer easements from developers, which are depicted on subdivision
maps, were acquired at no cost to Central San.
COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION
This item was not reviewed by a Board Committee.
RECOMMENDED BOARD ACTION
Adopt a resolution: (1) accepting the offers of dedication of sanitary sewer easements from developers as
depicted on subdivision maps, which are listed in Exhibit A of the attached proposed resolution, related to
Jobs 5831 and 6591 located in Martinez; and (2) authorizing staff to record theresolution with the Contra
Costa County Recorder.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CENTRAL CONTRA COSTA SANITARY DISTRICT
ACCEPTING OFFERS OF DEDICATION OF SANITARY SEWER EASEMENTS
FROM DEVELOPERS AS DEPICTED ON
SUBDIVISION MAPS RELATED TO JOBS 5831 AND 6591
THAT ARE LOCATED IN MARTINEZ AND
AUTHORIZING THE RECORDING OF THIS RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Developers with Jobs 5831 and 6591 that are located in Martinez, constructed
public sanitary sewers; and
WHEREAS, the Developers, who were also the property owners at the time maps were filed,
offered sanitary sewer easements to Central Contra Costa Sanitary District (Central San) via
subdivision maps as listed in Exhibit A; and
WHEREAS, the public sanitary sewers were constructed and accepted per Central San's
standards, staff recommends the Board of Directors accepts these sanitary sewer
easements.
BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Directors of Central San as follows:
THAT Central San hereby accepts the easement offers from the Developers as stated on the
subdivision maps, more particularly described in Exhibit A; and
THAT staff is authorized to record this resolution with Contra Costa County Recorder.
